A software requirements specification (SRS) is the complete
description of the behavior of the software. It describes all of the
interactions that the users will have with the software. The SRS
contains functional requirements, which define the internal workings of
the software: that is, the calculations, technical details, data
manipulation and processing, and other specific functionality that shows
how to meet the specification. It also contains the non-functional
requirement like performance requirement, security requirement, and
safety requirement.
Use of SRS
1. Project manager create plan and estimate of schedule, resources, effort on it.
2. Develop team need it to develop product.
3. The testing group needs it to develop test plans.
